Calamity Jane Putter
Circa 1926

The Original Calamity Jane putter was named by Jim Maiden, the golf professional at Nassau, CC in Glen Cove, NY. Mr. Maiden gave the original Calamity to Bob Jones after Jones had put miserably in a match with Francis Ouimet. Jones went on to win three majors with it. In 1930 Jones won the "Grand Slam" with an exact replica of the original Calamity Jane putter.
